Bacolor Hosts Historic House of Representatives Quadcom First Joint-Session

The Quad-Committee of the House of Representatives inaugurated its joint committee session at the historic town of Bacolor, Pampanga where issues under Dangerous Drugs, Public Order and Safety, Human Rights, and Public Accounts were tackled today at the Bacolor Mini Convention Center, August 16.

House Senior Deputy Speaker Dong Gonzales highlighted the historic significance of Bacolor in today’s joint session. According to Gonzales, Bacolor is one of the key beneficiaries of the 14th Congress when the lower house pioneered the Bacolor Rehabilitation Act.

Bacolor Mayor Eduardo “Diman” Datu welcomed the members of the lower house where he was accompanied by Vice Mayor Ron Dungca and the members of the Sangguniang Bayan of Bacolor. Mayor Datu emphasized that the town of Bacolor is very much honored to host this historic feat of the Philippine Congress.

Datu also thanked the members of the Congress for their presence in today’s joint committee session.
