ECO WASTE TRUCKS

The local government of Bacolor led by Mayor Eduardo G. Datu and Vice Mayor Ron Earvin E. Dungca turned over garbage trucks to 21 barangays and the municipal hall on Monday, November 4.

Datu said that the trucks were acquired for P25-million from the municipality’s savings to improve cleanliness throughout the town.

“Sa pagtitipid po natin at sa maayos na paggastos sa taxes ng taumbayan, nakabili po tayo ng mga trucks na magagamit ng ating mga barangay para mas luminis ang ating bayan,” Datu said.

Dungca said the Sangguniang Bayan supported the program through the passing of Ordinance No. 1 Series of 2024.

“Part po ito ng underestimated revenue ng munisipyo from the past years amounting to P28-million. Naglaan si mayor ng P25-million for the ecowaste trucks habang ang ibang pondo po ay inilaan sa iba pang programa ng munisipyo,” he said.
